1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.John Chapter 1

Is there oil in the lamp?
My favorite subject:
Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of
man cometh. Matthew 25:1-25. "The Lamp"
Matthew 25:1-13 1. Then shall the
kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to
meet the bridegroom. 2. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3. They that
were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4. But the
wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5. While the bridegroom tarried,
they all slumbered and slept. 6. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the
bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed
their lamps. 8. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are
gone out. 9. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and
you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that
were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11. Afterward
came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12. But he answered and said,
Verily I say unto you, know you not. 13. Watch therefore, for
ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 24:
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying,
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the
end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them,
Take heed that no man deceive you.

we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places"

The
Day of the Lord
Introduction to the book of
Revelation
The book of Revelation is possibly
one of the most neglected and at the same time one of the most controversial books in the
Bible. The highly divergent views of writers and preachers who interpret it, further
complicates matters in gaining clarity about the message of Revelation.
Many Bible colleges and theological
seminaries deliberately avoid this blessed book and no longer include it in their study
programs on the New Testament. Even when they do review the book, it is done in a very
superficial way. The tragic result of this attitude is that the book of Revelation is also
avoided in preaching.
People are doing with this book
precisely what God said that we should not do:
"And he said to me: Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this
book, for the time is at hand" (Rev. 22:10; also see Dan. 12:4).
The book of Revelation was written to be read and understood. Its
message was never as relevant as it is during the present time. We are on the threshold of
the great moment of the rapture of the bridal Church of Christ as well as the
judgments
of God that will be poured out over an apostate world. This is the book of consummation,
of completion and perfection. That is why it is so fittingly the last book of the Bible.
(The
rider on the white horse). In a show of clever diplomacy he will deceive the people
into accepting a new world order under a one world government which will operate in close
association with an alliance of religions in order to accomplish international
unity. When
his peace initiatives and reform policy of peace and unity collapse after 3½ years, the
Antichrist will turn to violence in order to enforce his authority on all mankind. He will
then become a cruel military dictator
(the rider on the red horse).
We are very close to the end of the church age and therefore on the threshold of the
rapture and the revelation of the Antichrist. It is critically important that we
understand this period. Our lamps must be filled with oil
And when ye shall
see
Jerusalem compassed with armies
then know that the desolation thereof
is nigh.
Who will rebuild BABYLON in
IRAQ?
The mood of the
political world seems to be for peace and prosperity. One seems to
propagate the other. Prosperity needs peace (stock market, et al) and
peace produces uninhibited prosperity. This seems to already be the
New World Order's (NWO) agenda: a world economy with minimal trade
restrictions and a peaceful world coexistence by early in the new
millennium. Peace is being sought in Ireland, Bosnia/Kosovo, India (w/
Pakistan), N. Korea, not to mention the Middle East. If we're not yet
within the first seal of Revelation, then we may be very close indeed!
Yet,
I see four "problem" areas
for future,
unfulfilled
bible prophecy with:
Israel (Is. 28:15-18; Dan. 9:27; Ez. 35 & 36, etc.)
Magog (Ez. 38 & 39)
Antichrist and his ten nation confederacy (Dan. 7:24, 25; 2 Thess.
2:3, 4; etc.)
Babylon (Is. 13 & 14, Jere. 50 & 51 and Rev. 17 & 18)

The
day of the Lord
My prayer is that the book will have the same effect and make a positive contribution
by helping seeking people to meet the Lord Jesus, and by motivating the children of God to
be vigilant and ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Unknown Day or Hour of the
Rapture
Antichrist will attain phenomenal success, and his supporters will acclaim their
admiration: "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
(Rev. 13:4). He will gain victories on all the continents until his rule extends over
every tribe, tongue and nation (Rev. 13:7).
The Antichrist
will bind people and make them political, religious, and economic slaves of the kingdom of
darkness.
"And authority was given him
over every tribe, tongue and nation. And all
will worship him
no one may buy
or sell except one who has the mark of
The Beast"
(Rev. 13:7-8, 17).
